My Life Experiences
by G Jagannathan
In discussing leadership, lessons from the military are often used to inspire business practices. This book is an assimilation of experiences spanning over 40 years. The strides in elevating humanity to a better world of tomorrow will need leading voices from the world of business, the elected leaders, and academia — as selfless leaders devoted to making a difference can infuse insights for future generations.
This book is a compilation of Reflections that young aspiring leaders can read and absorb to help find an elevated path to enhance progress for humanity. It is my humble hope that aspiring leaders and great leaders — willing to absorb my four-decade-long reflections could find my perspectives of value. My professional work put me in touch with over 42 nationalities across 57 countries. I had the good fortune of being touched by Inspiring Leaders from very close proximity.
Around the world, the electoral base appears to be growing disproportionately with those who are opaque to reasoning and critical thinking. The global corruption index says that 1 in 4 people globally were victims of corruption — this, to my mind, is a surrogate symptom of failing leadership. The business world, too, has its perils that regulators face in enforcing governance standards. These are some alarming trends.
In this digital and remote working age, many young aspiring leaders will be poorer and impoverished by missing out on the richness of experiences. How can we transmit this wealth of experiences and reflections to sprout wings for budding leaders? Hence I decided to write this book and share it with everyone who can learn from my experiences.
